Context
A major logistics network undergoing large-scale network rightsizing faced a critical workforce challenge: thousands of operational roles were being restructured, and the organization needed a defensible system for identifying which employees had transferable capability for technology-adjacent roles — without relying on credentials alone.
The Problem
The organization's existing HR systems could identify job titles and tenure, but could not surface the capability signals decision-makers needed to make confident reskilling and redeployment decisions. The result: high-potential employees were being exited while roles requiring similar capabilities went unfilled.
The translation gap — between what employees had done and what technology roles required — was costing the organization both talent and credibility.
